- Quick–frozen ingredients should be cooked for 10 to 15 minutes without first defrosting.

- Salt the salad before serving. And fill with oil, only after salting.

- Filling with sour cream or mayonnaise is made immediately before serving.

- Do not cook a salad for a few days: tasteless – no use! But it is better to cook herring under a fur coat 12 hours before serving, so that the dish has time to soak.

- The salad must first be mixed with part of the dressing, and then be sure to transfer to another bowl, leaving its edges clean.

- The ingredients for the dressing should be fresh, without unpleasant smell and color.
